Our kitchen focuses on quality, offering a selection of seasonal specials and refined British pub classics that change with the seasons. Behind the bar, the glint of our taps marks a commitment to excellence. We serve a curated selection of JW Lees traditional cask ales and keg beers, like Manchester Craft Lager, ensuring every pint is as perfectly presented as the plates leaving the kitchen.
There is a distinct sense of place here, rooted in the heritage of the Woodford site but delivered with a fresh, modern energy. It is the perfect setting for a slow weekend lunch or an relaxed mid-week dinner, where great food and the heritage of Manchester’s oldest brewery come together.

There’s something new on the menu this autumn, and it’s worth popping in for. Five brand new signature dishes, each one a proper plateful.
Fancy something a bit special? Try our Roast monkfish, wrapped in air dried ham with sautéed gnocchi, chorizo and wilted spinach. Or go cosy with Braised minted lamb Henry, all bubble & squeak and honey glazed root veg. Looking for something lighter? Our Nourish bowl has you covered, packed with griddled chicken, rice, houmous and a honey & soy dressing.
And of course, great value never goes out of fashion. Our Prix Fixe menu is back too, two courses for £17.45 or three for £19.95, available Monday to Friday from 12 noon.

Whether it's a morning catch-up or you're fuelling up for a walk around the village, our breakfast menu focuses on quality ingredients and a relaxed start. We serve a range of hearty options designed to suit every appetite, from traditional cooked breakfasts to lighter, contemporary plates. Pair your meal with a freshly brewed coffee and enjoy the morning light in a space that feels worlds away from the daily rush.
Prix Fixe
Two courses for £17.45, three for £19.95. Choose from starters like Grilled black pudding & crispy bacon or Freshly fried tortilla crisps with houmous, mains including pan fried seabass and Chicken Arrabiata, and puddings like Sticky toffee pudding or Warm mulled berry waffle. Available all day, Monday to Friday from 12 noon.
Wine Wednesday
Halfway through the week is always a good time to enjoy a special treat (plus a little extra in your glass from us). Every Wine Wednesday when you order two large glasses of wine, we’ll give you the rest of the bottle on the house. It’s a perfect way to elevate that midweek get together with great company and hot food, all in the welcoming atmosphere of our family friendly pub.
Steak Saturday
Saturdays at the Aviator are dedicated to the grill. Whether you are refuelling after a day of exploring Woodford or gathering with friends for a weekend treat, join us from 12 noon to enjoy 20% off all our premium steaks and mixed grills. It is the perfect excuse to skip the cooking and settle into a comfortable booth for a proper Saturday feast.
Sunday Lunch
Sunday is a day of roast. Our roasts come with bottomless gravy and unlimited Yorkshire puddings (because one Yorkie is never enough and good gravy should never run out). Nothing truly beats a proper Sunday lunch, and it’s even better without the bother of cooking and cleaning. Sit back, relax and tuck into our traditional Sunday roasts, served with all the trimmings.

Beyond our staple ales, we also feature a rotating selection of seasonal casks and experimental small-batch brews from The Boilerhouse. This microbrewery is where we explore more innovative flavours and contemporary styles, ensuring there is always something new to try.
